55,680 grt laden car carrier ran aground in River Thames following steering failure. Refloated and escorted/towed to Tilbury.

Located and recovered after ditching into the see off UK east coast.

2,908 dwt general cargo vessel loaded with scrap metal ran aground at apex of rivers Humber and Trent. Crew abandoned when engine room commenced flooding. Refloated and towed to Hull for repairs.

HEMO | October 2002
2,570 dwt vessel loaded with timber broke away from its berth in River Trent due to local tide bore. Ran aground and developed heavy list. Refloated and towed to Hull.

BOTHNIA STONE | October 2002
22,046 dwt vessel loaded with timber suffered cargo shift and developed heavy list in bad weather in English Channel. Escorted into Torbay where remaining deck cargo was jettisoned and list corrected.

SIXTUS | November 2002
3,203 dwt chemical tanker suffered main engine failure in bad weather in English Channel. Towed into Falmouth.

CORNELIA | November 2002
6,053 grt dredger ran aground in approaches to Harwich Haven following power failure. Refloated and towed to safe anchorage.
